FIREWALKER was formed out of a thirty-year fascination with the act of walking on hot coals.
Founder and CEO Richard Pape first saw the phenomenon in Mauritius in the early 1970’s. He wanted to take part but was not allowed to do so by the performers, who were not prepared to share their ‘secrets’.
Over the years he saw performances in other parts of the world such as Mexico, and Sri Lanka. Again these were only demonstrations, without the opportunity for audience
Having spent most of those 30 years working in the world of finance and accounting when he retired early he was determined to walk on fire. He not only achieved that dream but also qualified to become a Certified Firewalking Instructor, and now organises events to bring his fascination to others.
He doesn’t promise a life-changing experience. He does promise that you will have the very best ‘guess what I did last weekend?’ experience to talk about afterwards!
